Busy, Busy!!!

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while. We have been so busy. We have been running lots of errands, helping Daddy get ready for closing on houses and also cutting 4 more teeth. That is way fun! I have been feeling well, just a little tired. When Aleeza naps in the afternoon I have been tring to lay down for a little bit. I hope everyone is doing well. Here is a picture of Aleeza eating her favorite fruit!!!

Aleeza's new baby doll....why you might ask?? Read on...

On Thursday I bought Aleeza a new baby doll. Why you might ask? Well, she doesn't have one and for those of you who don't know she will need to get used to being around another baby come May 18th ( or there abouts). Yes, I am expecting. We are so EXCITED!!! The Lord has given me a good pregnancy so far. I am 7 weeks along and feeling great! Please pray that everything will continue to go well and the Lord will keep the baby healthy. Aleeza is very good with her baby doll so hopefully that is a good sign. We are very thankfull the Lord has blessed us with another child. We are excited about raising our children and seeing them get saved at a early age! Thanks for your prayers!

First PR event for Abbott Builders

Today was our first PR event with Abbott Builders. ( our company) The Greenville County Recreation District was putting on a Touch a Truck event. Brandon took his two machines and two trucks out there. Boy did they look sharp. David and his wife Joy , Matt and of course Aleeza joined us for a fun filled day. There were lots of big trucks and other machines including the helicopter, ambulance, fire truck lots of big machines, gas tanker and so on. It was really fun for the little boys especially. Although I think some girls enjoyed it just as much. Here are some photos from the day. Here is my dear friend Cindy's little boy riding the mini excavator. Robert had a good time! Here was the set up! Very nice I must say!

Our week In review!!!

This past week has been so busy. We have lots of things to share but will do one day at a time. On Tuesday we did Kindermusik again. Aleeza is really starting to get used to the class. When we come home she listens to the CD and loves moving around and "dancing" to the songs. She is such a doll. On Wednesday I was doing my class at the gym and 8 minutes into my workout they paged me to the nursery. Aleeza had slipped and bumped her lip on a table. Poor baby her lip was swollen all day but finally went down. Well, that was our week in a nutshell. I will have to share more about certain days coming up.. :)

Our Monday

Today Aleeza and I started off by working out.. well she worked out in the nursery. :) Then we headed off to the Libary. Aleeza was so excited to get to play on the kid's computers. That was really nice. She could bang around on theirs and not worry about messing anything up. We took some pictures of her outside of the libary wearing her new outfit ( well not new but new to her)from her dear Auntie Bonnie....she looked absolutely adorable in it. We got lots of comments. I was not able to make any matching korkers yet but we had a very nice white bow. After that we had lunch at Panera Bread with our dear friend Mrs. Barnet. Thanks again for meeting us. Aleeza recieved a lovely red balloon from her that we have not played with yet. We are saving it for a rainy day, which might be tomorrow. We had a lovely time of fellowship. I miss doing release time with them at church but the Lord knows all about perfect timing and what he has in store for us. They are having a good year though. 10 kids in their first class....wow.. That is truly of the Lord. After lunch Aleeza took a long nap. We went and saw Daddy's house that he has been working on for just three days now and they are almost done building it. It looks really nice. Brandon will have the house done in no time at this rate. I am sure the family will be very happy. The husband is in Iraq right now and this house will be nice for him when he gets back from serving our country. Well, that pretty much sums up today.

NO TRESPASSING

Interpret as you like... this is our neighbors latest doings.. ?? hm..... Need I say more?

Our weekend

This past weekend Aleeza spent it with Grandma and Grandpa. She had a great time. She is such a sweetie! Brandon and I were able to spend the weekend just together. It was very nice. We missed her but it is nice to go out to eat and not have to cut up chicken fingers and worry about spilled milk. Although we both felt like we were missing something. Now that she is getting older she is just like a little grown up girl. She tries to talk to people when we are out and waves at kids. We did miss her but had a great time. Friday night we went to our favorite restuarnt Outback. Then on Saturday I went to a consignment sale with my friend Cindy in the morning and racked up on some good sales. Saturday afternoon Brandon and I enjoyed a beautiful afternoon down town with Art in the Park and went out to Sticky Fingers. We weren't going to go out twice but we were already down town and we love Sticky Fingers. We also went to the Mast General Store. This store is so much fun just to walk around in. Thanks to Grandma and Granpa for keeping Aleeza. I know they didn't mind one bit!
Yesterday I enjoyed another lesson in our Young Mother's class on fitting your husband. This lesson was so good. She talked about how no matter where you in you life or what is going on we should be fitting our husband's so perfectly so they feel as though they can just move around and we are backing them 110 percent on everything. This was a challenge for me! I trust everyone had a blessed Lord's day!

Our new friend

On Tuesday the rain was crazy.. Brandon came in and had found this stray in our yard. Aleeza thought the turtle was so great. She just laughed and laughed. Now this turtle was not typical. He was not scared of anything... or she was not scared of anything. I have really never seen a turtle like this. He/she just kept walking all over the house while Aleeza chased it. Later we let it go back out into the wild. Yesterday was a good day. We had a Bows for best friends meeting and I am officially part of the team. For those of you who know what Strasburg Clothing is... well Jessica landed a huge account with them. We are going to be busy for a while. I am making some korkers for them. If they like them they will probably order around 400.... Wow....I love making these bows though.. they are so much fun. Well trust everyone is well. Brandon and I have the weekend to ourselves. Grandma and Grandpa get the little muchkin for the whole weekend. Should be tons of fun for them!!

Busy Tuesday!

Today was a very busy day and I am only half way through it. Aleeza just went down for a nap and I am sitting down for a minute to relax. We all need a minute through out the day to clear our minds. We started this morning off by going to Kindermusik. Oh what fun. Aleeza really enjoyed this class and like most places we go she clearly made her self the center of attention. She doesn't have to try to hard to do that. I think she will be able to learn a lot in this class. The children learned today about different movements and it was sort of a introductory class to the semester. After the class we went to Heather's house for a young mother's fellowship. This was lots of fun sitting around and talking to the other young mothers'. We had a very good time of fellowship. Aleeza played with the other kids there. How blessed we are to be able to enjoy a time of Christian fellowship with other young mothers' and to be around kids' s who are well behaved ( considering their ages) :) Sorry I have no pictures of any of these activities from today. BUT I will not send you away without a pictures. Here is a picture of Aleeza and her daddy playing " go horsey". Aleeza throughly enjoyed playing this game!

Sunday- loving your husband!

Just wanted to type a few things about Sunday. What a wonderful day we had. My mom taught Sunday School yesterday morning on wives loving your husbands. What a great lesson. She did such a good job and the Lord really used her in speaking in my own life about loving Brandon more and more everyday. We get so wrapped up in this world we forget how good the Lord has been to us. Brandon and I were just discussing the other day some issues that we are having with our yard and a few surronding people around us. Anyway the point Brandon made was we should be thankful that we even have a right in this country to protect our own yard. The fact is we should be thankful we have a yard period. Brandon so graciously pointed that out to me and we both are having a different outlook on things that are going on around us. Mom said we should praise our husbands in public... if we won't then who will? I feel as though at this time in our life the Lord has really been trying to teach Brandon and I some very major lessons. We have not learned them yet and He is still teaching us. The past few weeks have been very tiring on Brandon. He has a house at Lake Hartwell he is trying to finish up, he has a house here in Greenville he is getting started, his grading and landscaping buisness has just taken off the past few weeks and of course he has his family he is caring for. ( and oh he cares for us so well) I just want to publically thank the Lord for saving Brandon almost 5 years ago. That was miracle in and of it self! The Lord has brought him so far and we are so excited to see what the Lord has in store for us. Brandon is a extremely hard worker! He just won't give up! The Lord has really instilled in him a hard work ethic.. ( that is why he is hoping to have son so that he can teach him how to work hard and do your best for the Lord, not that he is not going to teach Aleeza how to work but it is different with your son.) Brandon is the love of my life and the Lord could not have possibly blessed me with a more suitable husband for me. He provides, protects and most importantly leads our family in a godly manner. The past few weeks I have realized more and more everyday how very blessed I am to have such a loving and forgiving husband. We teach Children's Church on Sunday evenings and what a joy it was for me last night to sit there and watch Brandon teach the 3 and 4 year olds and picture where he was 5 years ago and where he is now. That is only by the grace of God! I love you so much! The Lord is so good to us....

Few more days in the week!

The rest of the week went something like this... Brandon and I have joined a local gym so we have been working out together everyday. It is so nice. Oh yes just for your FYI... Tai Chi is not like tae bo or really anything I have ever done before. I was looking to work out. It should have been a clue when I went to class and the first thing you do is take off your shoes and get comfortable. Ok when I work out I don't go barefoot. The other clue should have been the age group that was in the class.... At my ripe age of 27 I was by far the youngest... needless to say I had to work extra hard the next day to make up for the lack of "workout " I had... So anyway it is not for me. Might be for some of you, but not for me!! Aleeza had her 15 month check up on Thursday. She is doing great. She is right at 22 lbs and still 25 percent in her height.. oh well, that is to be expected. On Friday we went to breakfast, to Kid's planet and to a consignment sell with my good friend Cindy and her three kids. It was the first time Aleeza had been to the park since she started walking. She had a blast. We had a good time with Cindy and the kids too. Aleeza loves being around them. Friday night we went to a short soccer game on campus... of course Phi Beta game. Aleeza jumped right in on the cheering and crowd entertaining. She was quite the little crowd pleaser. On Saturday we had some of Devon's friends over for a cookout. Aleeza is having a blast with her uncle Devon. She absolutely loves when he comes home.
Note: notice Aleeza's blue and orange korkers...Check out www.bowsforbestfriends.com to see my korker bows featured on the site and check out the cute picture of Aleeza!

Labor Day

On Labor day we had grandma and grandpa over for supper. We cooked out and had banana splits... yum yum... :) we had a good time. Aleeza was able to show them how she is such a big girl now and walking.

I am finally walking!

Sorry it has been a while since we posted. We have been sort of busy with different things.
Last Sunday night Aleeza just uped and started walking. It is so so cute. She is such a big girl now!

Happy birthday Kyla Bundy!

Tonight we went to Kid's planet to celebrate Kyla's birthday. We had a fun time. Aleeza played with Kendrea ( or K.K as I am trying to get Aleeza to call her) practically all night. K.K can keep Aleeza quite entertained to say the least. She walked her all around, played on the slide and in the sand box and pushed her in her stroller. They had a blast together. Kyla got lots of loot. :) We wrapped up the evening around 8:30 and Aleeza practically fell asleep on the way home. She was exhausted.

Is everyone looking at me?

Who me??

Great Grandma Powell

Our last day in NY we went and visited Brandon's grandmother. She is such a sweet and godly lady. Aleeza had fun getting to sit on her lap and play with toys that she has. It was a special time! Thanks for letting us visit!
